Doris Cripple

Doris Spillman Cripple, 80, of Ashland, KY, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Kings Daughters Medical Center.
Mrs. Cripple was born July 10, 1939 in Louisa, KY to the late Riley and Laura Carter Spillman. Doris was also preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Otis Cripple in 2018, brothers, Henry Spillman, Clyde Spillman, brother in law, Ed Samson and sister in law, Net Spillman.
Doris was a graduate of Louisa High School and had worked for several area businesses throughout the years including Kentucky Farmers Bank, Daniel’s Bakery and White Swan Cleaners. Her favorite hobbies were flowers and gardening.
Surviving is her son, Tim Cripple (Mary Dillon) of Ashland, KY, grandsons, Jonathan Tallini, Arlie Ray Madden, and great grandson, Carson McKnight. Additional survivors are brother Ray Spillman (Norma) of Ohio, sisters, Frances Spillman of Ashland, KY, Clara Spillman of Ashland,KY, Faye Sansom of Ashland, KY, Jean Spillman of Ashland,KY, Edith Middleton (Homer) of Rush, KY, and sister in law, Dorothy Spillman .
Funeral Service for Mrs. Cripple at 1:00pm Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at Neal Funeral Home, 2409 Center Street, Catlettsburg, KY. Pastor Frank Hulett will officiate. Final resting place in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visiting hours are from 11am until Service Time Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
