Donna Jean Sorrell Greene, 65, of Ashland, wife of William E. Greene, died Sunday morning, July 13, in King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
Donna was born July 7, 1949, in Covington, a daughter of the late Andrew J. and Barbara Williams Sorrell. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Ron Sorrell.
She was a member of Meade Station Church of God and a loving wife who always enjoyed special time with her family and grandchildren.
Also surviving are a son, Steve Thompson and wife Becky of Ashland; a daughter, Andrea Rue and husband Michael of Versailles; three stepsons, William E. Greene Jr. and wife Julie, Scott Greene of Cocoa Beach, Fla., and Jeffery Greene of New Jersey; 12 grandchildren, Kaylee and Maggie, Brandon and Brittany, William Timothy and Michael, Kurt and Amanda, Jessica and Alyssa and Kiersten and Brianna; a great-granddaughter, Raylynn; a sister, Karen Sorrell of Ohio; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 2014, at Meade Station Church of God by Pastor Robert Jordan. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
Friends may call after 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Preston Family Funeral Home in Ashland is in charge of arrangements.
