Donald Sargent

Donald Lee (Hop) Sargent Jr., 51, of Ashland, Ky., went to be with the Lord Friday afternoon June 18, 2010.
He was born May 24, 1959, in Ashland, to parents, Donald Lee Sr. and Anna Lorraine (Houck) Sargent of Ashland. He was a member of Operating Engineers Local 181 and the Catlettsburg Elks BPOE. He was also a member of England Hill Freewill Baptist Church.
Donnie leaves behind three children, Brad Sargent of Georgetown, Ky., Brooke (Lance) Seasor, and Cameron Sargent of Ashland; and a grandson, Alexander Sargent of Woodbridge, Va.
He is survived by a grandmother, Katherine (Houck) Dalton; brother, Jeff (Kim) Sargent; and nephew, Brennan Sargent, all of Ashland. He had many more family and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul and June Sargent and Raymond Houck.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at England Hill Freewill Baptist Church on Mayo Trail in Catlettsburg. Pastor Willie May will offer a message of hope and comfort. Final resting place will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today and one hour before the service Wednesday at the church.
Neal Funeral Home in Catlettsburg, Ky., is in charge of all the arrangements.
