David Edward Gray, 54, of Catlettsburg, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the Community Hospice Care Center.
He was born February 17, 1960 in Ashland, KY, a son of Clarence Gray Jr. and Janice Mobley Gray of Ashland.
He was a member of Unity Baptist Church, a 1978 graduate of Boyd County High School and received his Associates degree in business management from ACC; He was an avid outdoorsman who loved water and snow skiing. He was a member of North East Kentucky Fish and Game, NRA, United Steelworkers Union and worked for AK Steel as a caster operator. His most cherished moments were those spent with his family and friends
In addition to his parents, additional survivors include his loving wife of 28 years, Linda Callahan Gray of Catlettsburg; two sons, Nicholas (Holly) Gray and Ross (Bryanna) Gray all of Houston, TX; a sister, Anita (Aaron) Smith of Ashland; and two grandchildren, Isabella and Apollo Gray; mother in law, Judy Callahan of Catlettsburg; sister in law, Marie (Chris) Hartley of Houston, TX; brothers in law, Bobby Callahan of Houston, TX, and Patrick Callahan of Catlettsburg, KY; Niece, Cali Smith; Nephews, Cody Smith and Scotty Callahan; five additional nieces and a host of loving extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Steen Funeral Home 13th Street Chapel with Pastor Brandon Dupriest and Pastor Tim Burton officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at the funeral home.
