Darlene Blevins Jobe Rigsby, 88, of Ashland, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Kingsbrook Lifecare Center, surrounded by her family.
Ms. Rigsby was born June 1, 1930 in Orr, KY, to the late Taylor, Sr and Susan Murphy Blevins. Darlene attended Ashland Schools and was employed at Village Kitchen, FW Means, and Caldwell’s Market. Her hobbies were cooking and shopping. She was baptized as a young woman at the Catlettsburg Nazarene Church.
Surviving… are her children, Robert Jobe, Jr, his wife Debbie, of Ashland, Scheryl Caldwell, her husband Kendall, of Ashland, Wayne Jobe of Ashland, and Tammy Gedeon, her husband Mike, of Ashland, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, Clifford Blevins (Ollie) of Ashland, and sisters, Pauline Hensley, Margaret Brown, and Ella Shirkey, all of Ohio.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, husbands
Robert Jobe, Sr. and Elbert Rigsby, stepson, Leon Rigsby, Sr., brothers, Fred Blevins, Taylor Blevins, Jr, Douglas Blevins, and sisters, Betty Newsome and Judith Stanley.
Funeral Service for Mrs. Rigsby will be at 1:00pm Monday, January 7, 2019 at the Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home, 2702 Panola Street, Catlettsburg. Pastor Mike Rice, Pastor Jeff Pendleton, and Father Andrew Garner will officiate. Final resting place in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visiting hours are 11:00am until Service time Monday at the Funeral Home.
