CATLETTSBURG - Curtis Ezra Humphrey, age 72, of Catlettsburg, died Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, in Cabell Huntington Hospital.
He was born June 3, 1939, in Buchanan, a son of the late Allen and Bessie Brown Humphrey.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Runyon Humphrey.
He was a member of Ironworkers Local Union 769 of Ashland and Durbin Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are two sons, Johnny Lynn Humphrey and wife Juanita and Kevin Humphrey and wife Tammy; one daughter, Kimberly Ann Lynch and husband Mike; brothers, Johnny Humphrey and wife Connie of Bellefonte, Raymond Humphrey and wife Virginia of Ashland and Allen Humphrey of Ironton, Ohio; sisters, Betty May, Alice May Lane and Martha Lou Prichard, all of Ashland; six grandchildren, Joni (Mike) Nichols, Jennifer Humphrey, J.C. Humphrey, Zachary Humphrey, Taylor Humphrey and Eric Cole; three great-grandchildren, Mikalyn Nichols, Austin Nichols and Patrick Nichols; and a special friend, Paula Cyrus of Catlettsburg.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012 at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Everett Stevens. A private burial will take place at a later date.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
