ASHLAND - Cora Bentley Ashley, of Ashland, died Friday, April 22, 2011, ina��Hospice Care Center.

She was born July 7, 1922, in Virgie, Ky., the daughter of the late Simon and Sarah Roberts Bentley.

She was an owner of the Ashley Furniture Store in South Point, Ohio, and a member of the South Point Order of the Eastern Star.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by six sisters, Opal Moles, Myrtle Shumate, Dixie Eskridge, Paulinea��Loar, Ida Shumate and Billie M. Osborne; and two brothers, Sam Bentley and Lee Bentley.

She is survived by her husband, Alva Ashley of Ashland; a daughter, Sara Wilcox of Palm City, Fla.; two grandchildren, Eric Snell and Amy Affuant; and three great-grandchildren, Sara Elizabeth Affuant, Emily Marie Auffant and Nora Grace Auffant.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Miller Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Jayne and the Rev. Tim Jayne officiating.a��Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice, 1538 Central Ave., Ashland, KYa��41101.
