ASHLAND - Claire Schweitzer, formerly of Ashland, passed away July 15, 2013, following an extended illness.
Claire was born in Middleport, Ohio, to Esta Mae and Oscar H. Jones.
She was a graduate of Russell High School.
Claire's sister, Elsie J. Thaxton, and brother, Charles R. Jones, both of Ashland, predeceased her. She was married to the late Raleigh B. Caudill, and following his death, she married the late Charles K. Schweitzer. Claire had two sons, the late David B. Caudill of Russellville, Ark., and Richard F. Caudill, currently residing in Jupiter, Fla. Her grandchildren include Beth Olson of Tucson, Ariz., Bryan Caudill of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Amy Conley of Atlanta, Ga.
Final rites will be at 7 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2013, at Lazear Funeral Home in Ashland by Pastor Lance Campbell of South Ashland United Methodist Church.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
