Charlene Caines Blanton (1935-2010)
Charlene Caines Blanton, 74, of Ashland, Ky., died Wednesday morning, April 14, 2010, in Heartland of Jackson in Jackson, Ohio.
She was born July 18, 1935, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Charles B. and Marie Allen Caines. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Woods Nelson, and brothers John Jr. and Roger Caines.
She was a homemaker and member of Bridges Christian Church in Russell, Ky.
Surviving are her husband, John Blanton of Ashland; four stepsons, Greg (Karen) Hencye of Ashland, Steve (Michelle) Blanton of Charleston, S.C., Rick (Debbie) Blanton of Sorrento, Fla., and Tom (Sue) Hencye of Flatwoods, Ky.; daughters Robin (John) Quidor of Oak Hill, Ohio, and Paula (David) Meier of Jerome, Ariz.; and seven grandchildren, Michelle Fiore, Monica Fiore Amerine, Catrina Hencye, Kelly Brooke Blanton, Travis Parker, Melissa Craycraft and Crissi Craycraft.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010, at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel in Ashland by Pastor Monty Cooper. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
Friends may call after 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
