Carrol Dae Vanderpool - 1922-2008
Carrol Dae "Mammur" Keaton Vanderpool, 86, of Westwood, Ky., died Sunday morning in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky.
She was born Feb. 12, 1922, in Salyersville, Ky., the daughter of the late Henry and Myrtle Harper Keaton. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 41 years, E.T. "Pete" Vanderpool; one brother, Paul Keaton; and two sisters, Jewell Doyle and Ann Watson. She was a loving and devoted housewife and mother to her husband and children.
Surviving her are one son, Robert (Sharon) Vanderpool of Westwood; one daughter, Donna (John) Cook of Ashland; one sister, Janet Lykins of Ohio; six grandchildren, Chris (Kelli) Vanderpool of Lexington, Ky., Shannon (Kathie) Vanderpool of Lexington, Mathew (Sarah) Vanderpool of Louisville, Ky., Nickole Waggoner (Joe) Cook of Lawerence County, Ky., Jaysen Waggoner of Lexington, and Marnie Waggoner of Ashland; and 10 great-grandchildren, Haleigh Waggoner, Enock Evans, Isaack Evans, Elli Cook, Hunter Campbell, Taryn Vanderpool, Aleric Vanderpool, Raymond Vanderpool, Gracie Vanderpool, and Isaac Vanderpool.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Preston Family Funeral Home in Ashland. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. tonight, July 29 at the funeral home.
