DELRAY BEACH, FL - Carol Skeens Bradley, 77, died peacefully, Saturday, April 16, 2011 in Delray Beach, Fla.
Carol was born Jan. 26,1934, in Fullers, Lawrence County, to Opal Waller and Fred J. Skeens.
She attended Ashland schools and graduated from Ashland Senior High in the class of 1952.
Carol is survived by her sister, Lola Skeens Sloan (James) of Vero Beach, Fla., and her brother, Homer W. Skeens (Yvonne) of Ashland. She is also survived by her 10 nieces and their families. Sandra Saad (Bill) of Newark, Ohio, Linda Gregg (Don) of Newark, Lori Shulock (James) of Oak Harbor, Wash., Teri Morris (Scott) of Carmel, Ind., Pam Skeens of Porter, Ind., Jennifer Cavanaugh (Bill) of Laurel, Md., Karen Caldwell (Charles) of Houston, Texas, Lisa Cox of Vero Beach, Leslie Schweiger (Bob) of North Tonawanda, N.Y., and Amy Skeens-Benton (Baco) of Carmel. Her life companion "Patches" has gone to live with Carol's friends, Mark and Pat McCormick of Delray Beach, Fla.
Her husband, William B. Bradley; her parents and stepfather, Lawrence J. Elswick; and brothers, Fred Skeens Jr. and Dennie C. Skeens, predeceased her.
Carol's remains will be interred at Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland. There will be a Celebration of Life in Carol's honor at a later date in Ashland.
