Carla A. Carhart 68, of Catlettsburg, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018, in Community Hospice Care Center.
She was born September 5, 1949, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Carl Chester and Jo Ann Goodwin Carhart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Carhart.
Carla had been a member of England Hill Volunteer Fire Department since 1985, and served as Assistant Chief since 2009. She retired after many years of service from Kentucky State Police.
Survivors include a brother, Mark G. (Rita) Carhart of Ashland; sister in law, Maguana (Chuck) Qualls; nephews, Joseph (Andrea) Carhart and Dustin (Edwina) Carhart; and great nephews, Griffin Carhart and Corbin Carhart; great nieces, Arabella Carhart, Clementine Carhart and Nevaeh Carhart.
A celebration of Carla's life will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, August 9, 2018, at Steen Funeral Home 13th Street Chapel with Pastor Mike Blankenship and Chaplain Michael Groves officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
