Betty Potter Harman, 83, of Ashland, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, March 3, 2018, in the Community Hospice Care Center.
She was born March 31, 1934, in Jenkins, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Ervin and Delphia Swindall Potter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin E. Harman; and a son, Kenneth E. Harman.
Survivors include a daughter, Thula Vaughan Saylors of Ashland; daughter in law, Patricia Harman of Tipp City, OH; brother, Burns Ray Potter of Dayton, OH; sisters, Ruby Collins of New Carlisle, OH, Emma Sue Pelphry of Vandallia, OH; Yvonne Raffell of Tipp City, OH, and Joyce Faye Lucas of Ocala, FL; grandchildren, Shannon Mendoza, Bethany Vietz, Zachary Saylors and Jeremy Saylors; and numerous great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2018, at Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, 12835 Copley Road, Ashland, KY, 41102 with the Reverend Dicky Tiller officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, at Steen Funeral Home 13th Street Chapel.
