Our mom, Betty Lou Price Castle, born December 24, 1938 has gone to be with our dad, many loved ones, and most importantly Jesus Christ.
Mom was born in Paintsville, KY. She married the love of her life, Ernest Ray Castle, in 1955. They settled in Columbus, OH and decided to start a family.
If you knew mom, you knew how much she loved children. When they found out they couldn’t have any children of their own, they decided to adopt. They gave the three of us everything we ever needed. We grew up in a loving family that extended far beyond the walls of our home.
Mom stood by dad through every new experience and endeavor. Dad passed in 1990. Mom then focused her love and energy on children. She loved on children for 20 years at Raceland First Baptist Day Care. Mom gave everything she had to those who would accept it. She lived out her purpose and is now rewarded greatly with her home in heaven. We will miss her sharp wit, love of UK basketball, and her talking to the birds with her beautiful whistle.
She loved us kids and her grandkids with her whole heart – (Children) Philip Castle and Chris Chalker, Paul and Missy Castle, Rebecca and Michael Peeples, (Grandchildren) Whitley, Caleb, Rylee, Gwenyth, Olivia and (Great granddaughter) Remi Jo.
While we are sad that she is no longer with us here, we are relieved that she is no longer suffering and is with Jesus. We are also forever grateful to our aunt (her sister) Julia Tabor and her children, Anita, Dee and Nolan, for loving and caring for her the last two years.
In addition to her parents, Ted and Ruby Price of Paintsville, KY, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters - Robert Price, Faye Patrick, Mary Harmon, Rosie Price and 3 infant brothers. We love you mom, and look forward to being with you again.
